Rolex - Submariner Date Ref. 16610LV "KERMIT"
Reneé-Paul Jeanneret's Dream in Green!
The launch of the Submariner in 1953 was the brainchild of Rolex's director at the time, Reneé-Paul Jeanneret. He wanted a diver's watch that was technically and functionally up to date, but at the same time had such an elegant design that it could be worn with a suit without hesitation. Thus the Submariner was born.
To celebrate this dream, Rolex launched the reference 16610LV (LV=Lunette Vert / Green Bezel) with larger indices (Maxi-Dial) and wider hands for the 50th anniversary in 2003.
The watch is in a very good condition. The case shows hardly any signs of wear and has sharp edges throughout.
The original Oyster strap with matching stamp and diver extension is in very good condition with hardly any stretch.
