Launched in 1954 as a time zone watch for pilots of the PanAm airline, the GMT-Master line developed into one of Rolex's most iconic model series. In this, GMT (=Greenwich Mean Time) is synonymous with this function. The blue-black bezel is used for day-night distinction of the second time zone. Depending on where you land and a turn of the bezel to the local time is enough and you can read both home and local time. Faster, more practicable and probably also more beautiful, hardly any manufacturer has succeeded in doing so until today.
The case of this reference 126710BLNR with black-blue bezel is in very good condition with few signs of wear. The Oyster bracelet is in equally beautiful condition.
The watch comes as a Full-Set.
The Rolex installed movement 3286 is an extension of the base caliber 3186 and was supplemented with a module to display the second time zone.
The watch was checked by our atelier and still comes with almost 2 years Rolex warranty.
