In 1954, Rolex originally developed the GMT-Master as a time zone watch for pilots at Pan American World Airways. What began as a functional tool became one of the most iconic model lines in watch history. GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time—and, at the same time, for a watch that is far more than just an instrument.
The Reference 116710LN presented here marks a significant milestone: it is the first GMT-Master II with a black ceramic bezel—a model that heralded Rolex’s transition to modern bezel technology.
This example is in excellent, nearly unworn condition. Signs of wear are virtually nonexistent. The watch was merely unsealed and worn 3–4 times. How do we know this? We sold the watch as a NOS, sealed watch, and two weeks later, the very same watch was traded in for another one. That’s how fast things can happen!
The watch comes in a perfect full set, including hang tags, and dates from 2011.
The watch has been fully inspected by our workshop and comes with a 1-year warranty.
