First released in 1953 and still one of the most timeless classics for the wrist. With its 36mm steel case, black dial and matte Oyster bracelet, this Explorer is an elegant yet understated everyday companion.
The Explorer Ref. 114270 offered here is a Z-series from 2007, partially glued and in unworn condition. The case is in like-new condition, with the case sides still originally glued. The bracelet also shows no signs of wear and has no stretch.
The watch was purchased in 2007 from an authorized dealer in Munich and has been stored in a safe ever since – the epitome of a New Old Stock watch. Included in the delivery are the original warranty card, box, outer box, all booklets, both hangtags and the bezel protector.

Every watch offered at Artisans of Time has been personally selected, examined, and appraised by Linus. After his assessment, the watch is sent to a certified watchmaking workshop. There, the authenticity of the watch is verified once more. This is followed by a functional check for accuracy and water resistance, as well as general maintenance, during which wear parts such as seals are replaced if necessary.
