A fascinating piece of early Rolex history—this Rolex Bubbleback Ref. 3130 from the late 1940s embodies the elegance and technical innovation of that era. The distinctive case shape with a domed back, which earned the watch its nickname “Bubbleback,” is now among the brand’s most sought-after vintage designs.

The 32 mm case in 14K rose gold is in fantastic condition for its age and makes a surprisingly striking statement on the wrist. The lugs are thick and have not been polished down. Only a minor flaw is visible at 4 o’clock on the case side.

The warm rose gold tones harmonize perfectly with the cream-colored dial, which features rose gold Roman numerals and a off-center seconds hand—a particularly elegant and balanced configuration that ranks among the most beautiful variations of this reference.

It also features a later, gold-plated Rolex pin buckle, matching the vintage character of the model. Despite its compact diameter, the watch wears surprisingly large and prominent on the wrist, making it extremely attractive even for modern wearers.

Our Warranty

We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch from the day of purchase within the EU. We do not guarantee the water resistance of (vintage) watches unless expressly stated in writing. Therefore, our warranty does not cover damage to the case and / or movement caused by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not cover accidental damage or improper handling of your watch and does not cover the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
