The Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse Ref. 3548 is one of the most iconic creations of the Geneva manufacture. Introduced in 1968 as the very first Golden Ellipse, it established a collection that remains an enduring symbol of timeless elegance. Its distinctive proportions are based on the Golden Ratio, giving the watch a unique sense of balance and refinement that has captivated collectors for decades.
This example features an 18K white gold case and the highly desirable blue Sigma dial with the characteristic Sigma symbols at 6 o'clock, indicating the use of solid gold applied hour markers. The deep blue dial is one of the defining features of the Golden Ellipse and perfectly complements the understated elegance of the white gold case.
Measuring 27 x 32 mm, the Golden Ellipse wears surprisingly modern thanks to its slim profile and perfectly balanced case shape. It sits elegantly on the wrist, making it an ideal dress watch while remaining versatile enough for everyday wear.
Powering the watch is the renowned Patek Philippe Caliber 23-300 PM, a beautifully finished manual-winding movement admired for its elegance and reliability. The watch has been freshly serviced and is in very good overall condition.
An Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives has been requested and will accompany the watch once issued. It is fitted with a new leather strap and a non-original Patek Philippe pin buckle.
A rare opportunity to acquire a Golden Ellipse Ref. 3548 with the sought-after blue Sigma dial, a fresh service, and one of the most elegant designs ever created by Patek Philippe.
The watch is fully serviced by our workshop and comes with 1 year warranty.
