Before us lies one of the most coveted Speedmaster models of all time—the Omega Speedmaster Professional Ref. 145.012-67, produced in June 1968, a good year before the moon landing.
Inside, the legendary hand-wound Caliber 321 powers the watch—the very movement worn by NASA astronauts aboard the Apollo missions and still considered one of the most significant watch calibers in history.
The watch was sold in the Philippines and is in excellent condition, which is exceptional for a watch over 55 years old.
The dial, featuring tritium luminous material, displays the applied Omega logo with “Professional” lettering. The “Ts” in “Swiss Made” are correctly spaced between 31.8 and 31.6 seconds on the left and 28.4 and 28.2 seconds on the right. The longer tritium indices extend into the flange and are fully intact. The watch still features the correct crown with flat feet next to the Omega logo.
The crystal was replaced with an original Omega crystal during a later service. The original bracelet, with reference 1039 and 516 end links, is stamped 2/68 and matches the watch.
The case back features the correct seahorse with the Omega logo and Speedmaster lettering. The case back is stamped with 145.012-67 SP as well as the manufacturer’s code HF and is correct for the watch.
The case shows signs of wear consistent with its age, which, however, lend the watch its authenticity and history. The case material and condition are very good for its age. The watch comes with the original box and an archive extract from Omega that beautifully documents the watch’s production and sales history.
The watch has been fully serviced by our workshop and comes with a 1-year guarantee.
