JCB's legacy

When Jean-Claude Biver took over Blancpain in the 1990s, he wanted nothing less than to reinvent the watch industry. As a result, Blancpain launched a series of highly complicated watches within the decade, such as a minute repeater, a perpetual calendar with moon phase and this flying tourbillon in a platinum case. With the flying tourbillon, the view of the whirlwind mechanism is unobstructed and is not disturbed by a bridge or anything similar.

When this reference was launched, it was the thinnest hand-wound tourbillon with 8 days power reserve in the world - just 7.5 mm thick. A milestone for the developer Vincent Calabrese.

The 34mm platinum case is in beautiful condition with hardly any signs of wear. The watch was only worn sporadically after a service by Swatch Group in 2014. The service receipts are available.

The original box is also present.

The watch has been fully checked by our atelier and is being sold on behalf of a customer.

Our Service

Each vintage watch is individually selected and carefully checked by us. Once we have purchased a watch, it is mechanically and fully tested and inspected in our watchmaker's workshop. If necessary, the movement is fully serviced to ensure it meets our high standards.

We will always describe the watch as fully as possible in our sales texts. Our zoomable images are of the highest quality and form an important part of the description of each watch. Therefore, we do not retouch our images. We will never hide or cover up any element of a watch we sell.

One element of our unparalleled service is fully insured courier delivery with personal handover. Once you have received your watch, we recommend that you check it thoroughly. If you are not 100% satisfied, please let us know. We offer a 14 day returns policy. Simply return the watch for a full refund of the purchase price.

Our Warranty

We offer a one-year guarantee on the mechanical function of the watch from the day of purchase within the EU. We do not guarantee the water resistance of (vintage) watches, unless expressly stated in writing. Therefore, our warranty does not cover damage to the case and/or movement caused by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or improper handling of your watch and does not cover the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
