Lange Platinum

The Lange 1815 offered by us was purchased in 2003 from a German authorized dealer and comes as a full set. The A. Lange & Söhne service box and the service record from 2024 are also included. Only the original box insert is missing.

The history of this watch is particularly noteworthy: It has never been refinished – even during the factory service in 2024, the case was not polished at the express request of the original owner, in order to preserve the patina that has developed over the years and the watch's personal character.

Accordingly, the platinum case shows honest signs of wear. Age-appropriate signs of use are present across the entire case, and there are also two scratches on the bezel at 4 & 10 o'clock. The watch thus presents itself authentically and untouched – with sharp contours and a history reflected in its condition.

A rare opportunity to acquire an A. Lange & Söhne 1815 in platinum with documented history, factory service, and a fully preserved, unfinished case – a piece that has retained its character for more than two decades.

An original, used, short Lange & Söhne leather strap is fitted to the watch. An additional new crocodile leather strap is also included.

Every watch offered at Artisans of Time has been personally selected, examined, and appraised by Linus. After his assessment, the watch is sent to a certified watchmaking workshop. There, the authenticity of the watch is verified once more. This is followed by a functional check for accuracy and water resistance, as well as general maintenance, during which wear parts such as seals are replaced if necessary.
