Rolex - Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 1500/8
Silver Golden Patina!
One of the first Oyster Perpetual Dates that was probably produced.
The watch has a beautifully patinated dial that alternates between silver and champagne colors.
In addition, the dial has a unique feature in the indices that we have never seen before. The indices at 5, 6 & 7 o'clock and on the opposite side at 11 & 1 o'clock are arrow-shaped, while the rest are bar-shaped.
There is a special engraving on the case back. The watch was given to an employee of the "Central Territory Correspondents" on May 22nd. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any records of this company, but it is most likely an American company, as the watch was made in 14-carat yellow gold and the American import code "ROW" is on the movement.
The case of the watch is in very good condition. The horns are still thick, the lapidation where it should be and sharp edges at the transition. Fantastic for its age.
We have subsequently fitted a new, original gold-plated Rolex buckle.
The watch has been fully overhauled by our workshop and comes with a 1-year guarantee.
