Reneé-Paul Jeanneret's Dream in Gold!

The launch of the Submariner in 1953 was the brainchild of Rolex's director at the time, Reneé-Paul Jeanneret. He wanted a diver's watch that was technically and functionally up to date, but at the same time had such an elegant design that it could be worn with a suit without hesitation. Thus the Submariner was born. The watch with which you could sit in a board meeting in the morning and go diving in the Mediterranean with Jacques Cousteau at noon.

In 1988, the first series of the new Submariner Rolesor Ref.16613 was launched with the revised caliber 3135, and our Submariner Date comes from this series. Our Sub is an S series from 1993.

The watch has been worn over the last few years but has been professionally refurbished by our partner atelier. Thick horns and the nice chamfers are present.

On the surface, the Oyster bracelet is also in good condition, but has stretched over the decades. The clasp is a little loose, but closes tightly as soon as the safety catch is closed.

The watch is certainly not a safe watch to put away, but an honest wearer's watch (hence the lower price) that you can wear with a clear conscience as a daily rocker and don't have to worry if it gets scratched - wear it, have fun and enjoy it!

The tritium dial hand hands are in very good condition. The bezel ring is in very good condition. The tritium bead has a small crack.

The watch has been serviced by our workshop and comes with a 1 year guarantee.
