Port Royal!

In 1969, Zenith launched the "El Primero", the first automatic chronograph caliber. The designation 3019PHC was chosen as the caliber name. The 30 stands for the 30mm diameter of the movement, 1 as chronolgic number of calibers with the same diameter and the 9 as designation for chronographs. The three letters stand for P=Power, H=Hour & C=Calender. For the movements marked PHF and Moonphase, the F most likely stands for "Full" (full calendar).

After Zenith-Movao stopped the production of the El Primero in 1975 due to the quartz crisis, it took almost 9 years until production was resumed in 1984. In the meantime, remaining El Primero movements were sold or used in small special editions.

Such a special edition we can present you today - the Zenith "Port Royal". Launched in 1983 with the base reference 30.0150.418 for the models in 18K yellow gold, 210 pieces were built in 18K with leather strap and only 75 pieces with matching yellow gold bracelet. The version with yellow gold bracelet was built between 1985-1988 under reference 60.0160.418.

Our Zenith presents itself in excellent, almost mint condition. The case has only light wear marks. The hallmarks on the case flank are still visible, as well as the reference engraving at 6 o'clock.

The sandblasted and silvered dial is in excellent condition, as are the hands.

Inside ticks the famous, first El Primero 3019 PHF with 36,000 A/h, date, month and weekday indication as well as moon phase.

The watch is tested by our atelier and comes with 1 year warranty.
