Jumbo Royal Oak in Bi-Color!

In 1972, the forefather of the Royal Oak, the reference 5402ST, was issued by Audemars Piguet in only one material variant - steel. 5 years later, in 1977, the model variant in Bi-Color was launched; our reference 5402SA. For 8 years until 1985, the watch remained unchanged in the Audemars Piguet catalog.

Only 951 pieces of the reference 5402SA were made and only about 876 of them were sold. For comparison, over 6,000 pieces of the steel version were produced.

Our watch is number 668 and most likely dates back to the early 1980ies.

The watch was overhauled in Le Brassus at AP in June 2023 and is delivered in the welded and sealed service box. A digital extract from the archive is available. The receipts of the service worth over 10,000€ are present.

The dial and hands have been swapped with AP Classic Parts.

Additionally, the watch still comes with a winding tool supplied by AP as well as an AP watch winder.

The pictures outside the service box were taken before sending the watch to AP.

Our Warranty

We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the water resistance of (vintage) watches unless expressly stated in writing. Therefore, our warranty does not cover damage to the case and / or movement caused by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not cover accidental damage or improper handling of your watch and does not cover the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
